If you know me, you know I’m not a very outspoken religious person. You wont find a lot of tweets or statuses explaining my relationship with God or bragging on his goodness. Now, this is in no way shape or form to offend those who do, just stating that’s not how I role. But just because I’m not as open about the subject, doesn’t mean it isn’t relevant to me. I say all that to say this, “Keep painting, keep praying” is a philosophy I developed as a reminder to keep my faith while maintaining focus on the task at hand. I’m sharing my thoughts because this can be applied to anyone on the pursuit of happiness, whether you aspire to be a singer, dancer, photographer, writer, doctor, lawyer or engineer. I say “painting” because I aspire to be a artist. We make life so hard sometimes and there’s a process to success that people aren’t willing to endure. If you actively work at what you want out of life, add prayer, you will find your peace of mind. This isn’t to say this will make the road traveled easier and that you wont experience the set backs that every dreamer encounters. Its simply saying, faith without works is dead. I’m learning to embrace the hard times because, I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a boring success story. Create your own destiny. Dream on! -J. Clark
“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20
